Trinity Summer Series is a 7 night event that hosts a concert on College Park of Trinity College, Dublin. This festival is held yearly and runs in the middle of Summer, attracting thousands of fans to some of the biggest names.
Trinity College is just over 1100 steps from the Arthaus Hotel. While it has been home to many famous academics, poets, writers and tonnes of special guests, the Trinity Summer Series brings Rock Stars to Dublin's most famous university for an open-air concert. The Concert facilities here offer excellent acoustics without leaving the centre of Dublin.
The original Dublin university is well known, and not just for it's academics. The stars of our screens have become well shown in Trinity college, Normal People became a global sensation. It was filmed on location, and features a hit after hit soundtrack including music from some of the Summer Series headline artists.
Inside the cobblestone streets of the trinity campus, concert days have a special buzz. With a sense of excitement and anticipation in the air for students, visitors and staff alike. Some of the main attractions like the Book of Kells and the Long Room library may use alternative access entrances on these days.
These run of gigs has taken place in Trinity for 6 years, with the inaugural year of 2017. The first year of this brilliant week long event into something of a Dublin Festivals. Since 2017, the series celebrated the best of Irish Rock Bands, International Indie music and some Dancefloor Fillers.
Notable performances at Trinity College have been Crowded House, Michael Kiwanuka, the Pixies, Kraftwerk and New Order. It's safe to say that you're guaranteed a stellar performance at Trinity.
American Rock Band Jane's Addiction opened up the Dublin Festival on June 28th. The Three Days frontmen got College Park playing their air guitars with some of their stomping riffs.
Villagers, the Irish Indie Folk band then lit up the Trinity Summer Series stage on June 29th. French "space pop' duo Air celebrated 25 years since their debut album "Moon Safari" launched with an appearance at Trinity College. On June 30th, Air blasted their chill out vibes across the Dublin city skies.
Another major act saw Elbow take the stage on July 1st. The Manchester band toured their brand new album, released in 2024 at the Trinity College Venue.
Gavin James, Dublin singer songwriter and Choice Music Prize award winner then made his way to the stage on July 3rd.
The Jam's Paul Weller brought the summer series to a close on July 4th. A sold out show rounded of an incredible line up for the 2024 Summer Series at Trinity College.
The Arthaus hotel is very near to Trinity College, in fact it's only 700m from our front door! This will take around 10 minutes to walk from your hotel rooms to reach the gate of the concert venue. The organisers urge the attendees to get to the music concert on foot.
All concert goers must use the signposted pedestrian access to enter to the Trinity Summer Series. The gates will open at 7pm and queueing outside the gates prior to opening is not allowed. As Trinity college is in a built up area within Dublin City, and queueing in streets will disrupt the local area.
This event has no parking, it's very difficult to find on street parking especially at peak times in the summer. Guests of the Arthaus Hotel can park at Q-Park Stephen's Green, and will receive a reduced rate to the public who park here.
Nassau street car park is available to everybody. This smaller car park is quite busy and only holds 166 cars, so parking here may not be an option on concert days.
Public Transport is strongly advised for everybody who has a ticket to summer series gigs. Pearse train station is located seconds away from Trinity College, and has rail links from across the city and country. Pearse Street Gate will not have pedestrian access for the concert venue.
Nassau street, which runs parallel with the College Park venue offers tonnes of bus options from around the town, and city.
Finally, the Luas runs to College street which is two stops from the Arthaus Hotel. The Luas is a great option as it winds through the Dublin streets, allowing you to hop off at Dawson street for a bite to eat before walking a couple of minutes to the venue.

The 2025 Trinity concert line up has been announced, but it may not be complete just yet. This season's line up offers a little bit for everybody. Unfortunately the summer series is not a family event, ticket holders must be 18+.
