The Hotel is located adjacent to Stephen’s Green Centre, these rooms are perfect for a short city break. Our boutique rooms are decorated in a palette of soft corals, gold and misty grey tones offset with walnut cabinetry. Brass detailing and graphic accents all add to a sense of welcoming luxury.
Our artwork in the Boutique rooms features works inspired by the Bauhaus teacher Wassily Kandinsky, often hailed as the pioneer of abstract art. In his own words, ‘’Colour is a power which directly influences the soul.’’
Our beautiful Superior bedrooms are perfect for a mid-week or weekend break. Having chosen a palette of greens for these rooms, the colour of spring which renews and restores growth, we have woven a rich tapestry of pattern and textures into sumptuous velvets. Creating a range of ambient moods with mirrors and lighting, we have set the stage for a well appointed and luxurious room for your stay.
The Superior rooms feature works inspired by the Bauhaus teacher Oskar Schlemmer, who brought the worlds of painting, sculpture and choreography together and who described his famous Triadic Ballet as ‘artistic metaphysical mathematics’, and a ‘party in form and colour’.
The largest of all of our bedrooms are, the Executive rooms, they are decorated in a rich blue colour scheme, the colour associated with the sky, the sea and which is beneficial to both body and mind as a calming influence. Blending the richness of walnut cabinetry with graphic patterns, black and gold detailing and embroidered fabrics creates a sense of extravagance.
Our artwork in the Superior rooms features works inspired by the Bauhaus teacher Annie Albers, head of the weaving workshop. In the words of Annie Albers, ‘Art is something that makes you breathe with a different kind of happiness.’
